Also being displayed will be the JetStream ionising air knife system, which is used throughout the world by injection moulders that also paint/coat the components for manufacturers particularly in the automotive industry.
The Meech 992v3 is a static generator that creates a controlled level of static charge that will create a temporary bond between materials, one of which must be insulative. One of the most popular uses of static generation is in in-mould labelling (IML). More and more companies are adopting IML as a clean and effective way of decorating injection moulded parts, particularly in food packaging. Other applications include pinning plastic sheets and webs, bag making, lamination and print stacking.
JetStream is used by many moulders of bumpers, dashboards, switchgear and household electrical goods to remove contamination from the surface prior to the parts being painted/coated. JetStream provides higher ‘first time pass’ rates, providing cost savings in terms of rework and scrap, whilst delivering energy savings when compared to commonly used compressed air systems, with investment payback periods often being less than 12 months.
Specialists from Meech Belgium and UK will be on hand to discuss applications.
