New System for Drying Waterborne Paints Increases Throughput and Profitability in the Car Refinishing Industry

Meech International announces the launch of the new SpeedDri system for the fast and efficient drying of waterborne paint jobs throughout the car refinishing industry. Designed to accommodate workshops that from January 1st 2007 can no longer use traditional solvent-based paints, this new system directs a stream of air over the surface of the basecoat to speed up the evaporation process, significantly reducing drying time and therefore increasing throughput.

Keeping Control Systems Cool on the DSV Mermaid Commander

The DSV Mermaid Commander is a dynamically positioned dive support vessel, employed in offshore subsea construction and maintenance worldwide. Part of the Thoresen Thai Group of Thailand, the boat is run by Mermaid Maritime Ltd, a company providing a range of marine services. As well as supplying safety equipment, training and ships chandlery, the company deploys 3 offshore service vessels, including the Mermaid Commander, to support diving teams undertaking projects such as classification surveys and salvage and underwater repairs.

Static Control Systems from Meech – the Non Radioactive Approach

The radioactive substance Polonium 210 has been prominent in the news recently following reports that it was used to poison the Russian ex-spy Alexander Litvinenko. This naturally occurring radioactive material emits highly hazardous alpha particles and in high doses can damage human tissues and organs. In industry, Polonium 210 can be found in applications such as a heat source for satellite power supplies and also in some types of static control systems.

New Static Generator on Show for the First Time at ICE 2007

Meech International will be showing its new Model 992v3 Static Generator amongst a host of other static control solutions on stand 2-N11 at The International Converting Exhibition (ICE), Munich, March 27-29 2007. Also included on the stand will be the Meech Web Cleaning System, Meech’s range of Ex products, certified for use in hazardous areas and the Model 986 Feedback system, an innovative and unique closed loop system for automatically controlling the problems of static in converting process applications.

New Static Generator from Meech Demonstrates Greater Versatility

Meech International announces the launch of the Model 992v3 Static Generator. This new product further advances Meech’s position as a leader in static control solutions. The new 30kV Model 992v3 can be operated in either Constant Voltage or Constant Current Mode to generate a controlled level of static charge that will create a temporary bond between materials, one of which must be insulative. The addition of Constant Current Mode allows the performance of the Model 992v3 to be optimised for a variety of applications and a diverse range of materials. The result is maximum pinning effect without the risk of overload.
