New Static Generator from Meech Demonstrates Greater Versatility

01.12.06

Designed with a  Constant Voltage output range from 0 – 30kV or a Constant Current output adjustable between 0 – 500µA, the Model 992v3 is available in either negative or positive output polarity versions. In Constant Voltage Mode, the voltage is constant and the current fluctuates with changing application conditions. This makes it ideal for use where the material to be statically pinned is continuous, for example on reel to reel machines. Alternatively, in sheeting type machines where the material to be bonded is not continuous, the Constant Current Mode offers optimum performance . These two options are now available in the same unit .

The Model 992v3 is easy to set up and use. The large digital display clearly shows the output voltage or current and its unique design means the Model 992v3 can be mounted vertically on a wall or machine frame, or horizontally on a floor or bench for total flexibility.

Incorporated into the Model 992v3 is the facility to switch the unit on and off remotely; this is particularly useful in a factory environment and means the unit can be controlled in association with machine operation. For additional safety, an auto trip function has been built into the unit. On detection of ‘flashover’, the unit will stop working, so reducing the risk of damage to either the equipment or materials being processed.

For large scale applications, multiple generator bars can be connected via the twin outputs  An internal switch mode power supply accommodates different input voltages and frequencies.

The Model 992v3 is used in conjunction with the Model 993R spark free generator bar and together with the 50kV Model 990v2, Meech has the capability to address a full  range of static pinning requirements .
